Abstract

СеленSe— металлоид, близкий по свойствам к сере S. Концентрация селена в почве зависит от типа, гранулометрического состава и содержания органического вещества в почве, а также от количества осадков. На его усвоение растениями влияют физико-химические свойства почвы (окислительно-восстановительный статус, рН и микробная активность). Присутствие Se в атмосфере связано с природной и антропогенной деятельностью. Селенопротеины, в которых селен присутствует в виде селеноцистеина, играют важную роль во многих функциях организма, таких как антиоксидантная защита и образование гормонов щитовидной железы. Некоторые метаболиты селенопротеинов играют роль в профилактике рака. В иммунной системе селен стимулирует образование антител и активность Т-хелперов, цитотоксических Т-клеток и естественных киллеров (NK). Механизмы всасывания селена в кишечнике различаются в зависимости от химической формы элемента. Селен всасывается в основном в двенадцатиперстной кишке и слепой кишке путем активного транспорта через натриевую помпу. Рекомендуемая суточная доза селена варьируется от 60 мкг/сутки для женщин до 70 мкг/сутки для мужчин. Дефицит может вызвать репродуктивные расстройства у людей и животных.
