Ultrasonic Diagnosis Methods for Choledocholithiasis

Abstract
The problem of diagnostics and treatment of choledocholithiasis as one of the most frequent complications of cholelithiasis (GSD) is urgent. According to a number of authors, choledocholithiasis occurs in 15-25% of patients with cholelithiasis. Laboratory and clinical symptoms are neither sensitive enough nor specific enough. The disadvantages of transabdominal ultrasound (TAUS) and computed tomography (CT) as non-invasive methods for diagnosing choledocholithiasis are now well known.
